Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the oldest temple of the city. Devotees visit here on the occasions of Shiv Ratri or Savan Somvaars to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva.
The Bhuteshwar Mahadev Mandir is the admiration of Hindu temple situated in Garravkendra, Mathura dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is also said to be a Shaktipeeth where the ringlet of Mata Sati fell after her body was destroyed by Lord Vishnu. The temple of Bhuteshwar Mahadev is one of the most popular and older temple of Mathura, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The deity god Lord Shiva is alluded here as Bhuteshwar Mahadev. The common tale related to the temple is that Lord Shiva came to Braj and dwelled as the defender of Lord Krishna's house, Vrindavan Dham.
The temple also incorporates the idol of Patal Devi, who was adored by King Kansa. In the holy month of Sawan, amid five Mondays, the Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple is swarmed by numerous enthusiasts. This is perfect place for chatting with family and companions. The lord Krishna and Gopis are said to prayed to SHIVA when he took the form of a gopi to participate in Maharasa of Sri Krishna

One of the oldest temples of Mathura, Bhuteshwar Mahadev temple houses the Patal Devi Cave, the goddess worshipped by King Kansa. The presiding deity of Lord Shiva is referred to as Bhuteshwar Mahadev. The magnificent environment gives the peace of mind and calmness. You can find a lot of Sadhu in the temple doing meditation & Prayers.
The devotees offer their prayers to the deity by praying the Shiva Linga installed in the Temple. They offer Milk, Dahi, Shahad, Jal, etc. to the deity with faithfulness & love.
Entry Fees, Aarti Timings & Mandir Opening Timings:
Though the temple is open full year but the best time to visit here is January, February & March and October, November & December. The Mandir gets open at 5:30am to 12:00pm in the morning & 4:00pm to 9:00pm in the evening during summers. While in winters the time changes to 6:30am to 12:30pm in the morning & 3:30pm to 8:00pm in the evening. The timings are subjected to change for special occasions & events.
